Carmella's parents are both chocolate Patterdale Terriers and go by the name of Rolo and Chocolate Chip. So when I was looking for names, I wanted something that she could remember her parents by -- and of course after a candy bar with chocolate and caramel.... Caramello (yums)! Caramello was too long a name to say so I shortened her name to Carmella.
